This year the National Park Service is taking a new, dramatic step to showcase Yellowstone National Park. Every Tuesday and Thursday -- up to August 14th -- Yellowstone National Park is hosting a live webcam show broadcast from Geyser Hill, which sits near Old Faithful Geyser. The shows are conducted by Park Ranger George Heinz and are broadcast at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Mountain time.

Each show pertains to different aspects of Yellowstone National Park. The morning show discusses the history of the area as well as past and present historic landmarks. The afternoon show discusses the thermal features of Yellowstone National Park. When the show is not streaming, a loop of audio facts is played.

This is the first time a live ranger talk has been streamed online in Yellowstone National Park. If you are interested in watching a ranger talk, go to the National Park Service’s website to access the webcam presentation.
