Beartooth Highway to Open This Weekend with a Bang

Barring any late-season snows, the Beartooth Highway is expected to open May 28 -- and you're invited to the party.

The official opening-of-the-Beartooth-Highway party will be held at the Beartooth Ranger Station on Hwy. 212 in Red Lodge. There will be music from the Quarter Moon Band, some light food and refreshments, and information about other happenings on the Pass this summer. Bring a shovel and help move the last bit of snow from the road.

The festivities begin at noon.
