More bad weather forced a slew of road closures in Yellowstone National Park this morning, as well as the seasonal closure of the Beartooth Highway and the Dunraven Pass portion of the Grand Loop Road, but the snow cleared, allowing roads to reopen this afternoon.
We had snow delay the start of the Yellowstone National Park spring season, and now it threatens the fall as well, as the South Entrance, the Beartooth Pass and Craig Pass are closed because of unsafe driving conditions.
A grizzly bear sow that killed hiker Brian Matayoshi and was present at the scene of hiker John Wallace's killing has been captured and euthanized by Yellowstone National Park staff, but her two cubs were placed into confinement.
